2020-2023 Kia Telluride recalls: which ones matter and what to do

Last reviewed 2026-10-09 · Data: NHTSA, official settlement and manufacturer documents · Independent site, not affiliated with Hyundai, Kia or NHTSA

Short answer

The Telluride has no engine settlement and isn't on the anti-theft lists. Its issues are recalls, and three carry real weight. The front power seat motor fire recall (24V-407) was replaced in July 2026 by 26V-430, and NHTSA's record says cars already fixed under the first recall need the new remedy too. The tow-hitch harness recall (22V-626) also says to park outside. And 24V-214 covers a driveshaft that may not be fully engaged, so the car can roll away in Park.

Complaints are unverified owner reports, and counts reflect how many owners filed, not how many cars failed.

2020 has the most complaints by far, led by exterior lighting and the engine. Engine complaints drop to around 10-20% of the total from 2021 on, with wipers and electrical items near the top.
